Meet Our Staff

Mason Lee has been an insurance agent since 1998. In 2014, he started Family First Insurance with the goal of creating a custom insurance experience for his clients’ unique situations. Outside work, Mason loves spending time with his wife and three children and enjoys outdoor activities such as kayaking and fishing.

Ashley has over 15 years of experience in insurance, and enjoys working with clients and helping them find the right balance of coverage and cost. She is a native of Wilson, and loves eastern NC passionately. Ashley has 3 wonderful children, and loves country music!

Tad joined Family First Insurance in 2021, bringing over 15 years of insurance experience with him. Tad specializes in Health and Life insurance. He often works with businesses to provide group health insurance and other employee benefits. He is also very knowledgeable about life insurance and supplemental benefits. Tad lives in Wilson and serves in the community in several roles.

Daffy Shearin works with all aspects of insurance. She is knowledgeable and professional, and always makes sure her clients are well taken care of. From Life and Health to Auto, Home, or Business, you can trust Daffy to find you the best coverage and the best rate. Daffy is energetic and personable, and passionate about her work. Daffy lives in Louisburg with her husband Henry and daughter Savannah.

Mr Wiltson Bear has recently joined our team as our official Family First Mascot! From his first days as a cub, Mr Wiltson has always loved helping people, and has a special place in his heart for kids! You can find Mr Wiltson at any event that we sponsor, and on special occasions at our office! You can send Mr Wiltson a message clicking the “letter” icon. He especially loves hearing from kids, and many times will send a special surprise out when he gets a message!

Sandy grew up in Las Vegas, spending summers in NC and loves spending time with her family as well as serving in her Church. She is very knowledgeable about all Medicare questions, and can help those getting on Medicare find the right supplements to make sure they have great coverage. Logan was born and raised in Clayton NC and loves all sports, particularly Golf and Basketball. He grew up in a big family, and has 5 siblings! Logan works with our Property & Casualty team, and can help you find the best rates and coverage on home, auto, or any kind of business insurance!

Josh has lived in Eastern NC all of his life, and graduated from UNC Chapel Hill. He loves sports and hanging out with good friends. He is particularly fond of his two little nieces, Holland and Grayson. Josh enjoys helping people protect the things we work hard for in life, our homes, automobiles, and businesses of all kinds. Matt is a native of Rocky Mount NC, and enjoys life in ENC, and stays busy raising his family of 4 boys! His lovely wife Andrea is a doctor in Rocky Mount. Matt also serves in his local Church. In his spare time, you may find him gaming with the kids or watching the newest action or sci-fi movie! Matt can help with auto, home, or business insurance needs of any kind. He loves to work with families to find even better coverage than they currently have while still saving money.
